Max Bupa is a new entrant in insurance field. MBHI or Max Bupa Health Insurance is a joint venture between Max India and Bupa Finance Plc, UK, which is an international healthcare provider.

The company started its operations in six Indian cities; Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune and are planning to include Surat, Ludhiana and Jaipur in another years’ time.

Just last week they launched their flagship product Heartbeat health Insurance Plan, which is offers health insurance cover to the whole family. Heartbeat plan is offered in three levels, namely, silver, gold and platinum. It provides medical cover for expenses including in patient treatment, post hospitalization, pre hospitalization, and offers maternity and childcare benefits. It provides insurance coverage across all age groups. There is no age limit and offers a comprehensive cover from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh.  This is also on of the health insurance company which is said to cover maternity benefits after a certain period of policy holding and in this case it is 3 years.  Max Bupa is also planning start International emergency plans soon.  They have various plans for individuals as well as for the entire family depending upon one’s need.

Benefits of the plan-

Max Bupa Health Insurance has a good network of 375 hospitals and health care providers and growing.  They offer cashless facility across these network hospitals and without seeking approval from TPAs, etc.  They have their own healthline so that it would be easier to get approval and get covered instantly in case of hospitalization.

Third Party Administrators (TPA)-

Max Bupa Health insurance, plans to service all their clients directly, through an in- house team of relationship managers, without any involvement of a third party.
